This famous wine is a blend of Cabernet and Shiraz grown to some of the finest vineyards in Australia. Built to a satisfying and consistent styling, Bin 389 has been revered by generations of wine drinkers and continues to deliver in terms of quality. Major components this year are from Coonawarra, McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek, Padthaway and Barossa. A difficult growing season with low winter temperatures and unusually high summer temperatures. The fruit ripened relatively quickly and was selectively harvested early, parcel by parcel, pursuing full flavours, structure and balance. Maturation for twelve months in a combination of new and prior use American oak hogsheads. Alcohol 14.5%

Brooding, yet compliantly permitting noticeable oak to propel dark fruits from the glass, unveiling wafts of stewed Christmas pudding, a mix of dates / sultana / fig beneath.
